The purpose of this article is to analyze the application of Restorative Justice in the solution of criminal actions. It is verified whether this effectively results in the re-socialization of the parties
involved, both for the offender and for the victim. The application of Restorative Justice is relevant to
the applicability of restorative practices in criminal proceedings, considering that the Brazilian reality has shown a scenario of intensified violence and crime with a high rate of social disintegration and new standards of sociability. From this point of view, this article deals with the restorative model as a way of perpetuating the protection of human rights, avoiding the consequences arising from a criminal
process and addressing the relationships between the social subjects involved.
