Abstract

Abstract: There has been an increase in foreign interest in land purchases in Brazil, particularly since the end of the first decade of the 2000s. The acquisition and leasing of land by foreigners generate a series of impacts in the country. It affects sovereignty in its multiple aspects. The juridical order, in turn, imposes requirements that must be observed by foreigners. Disregarding these requirements affects primary public interests. Preserving the juridical order is the responsibility of Public Prosecution Service, and its actions are extremely relevant for ensuring the interests of society.
